Health Benefits Of Schizandra Berry
Schizandra is one of the most balanced & well-rounded herbs in existence. It has thousands of years of recorded use in the east and is one of the greatest adaptogens in the world. There isn't really an awful lot that Schizandra doesn't do! It's a genuine treasure of the tonic herbal kingdom…

Schizandra Berry is awesome
This is unfortunately yet more “data” that has been blown right out of
proportion. There are hardly any in vivo studies on Schizandra’s estrogenic
effects, although a study on rats showed that it may act as a very weak
phytoestrogen simply because endothelial cells in the rats aorta responded
mildly to it. However, there have been no accounts – clinical or otherwise
– that indicate Schizandra actually increases estrogen in the body. It is a
great herb for womens health, hormones & menopause etc, but as it is a
great adaptogen it is more akin to influencing estrogen only if it is
needed. The Schizandra/estrogen relationship is a statement that a lot of
people seem to be throwing about, but in reality it is still
unsubstantiated, and thousands of years of testimonials about Schizandra
definitely indicate otherwise – especially if it is top quality.
How much of it do, one need to take on a daily basis, to feel the effects
of it?
Potentially one can dose quite high, but generally speaking a few cups of
tea or a few squirts of tincture throughout the day is good over the long
term. Adaptogens have a cumulative effect, so taking them once may not
yield the desired effect. It’s good to familiarise ourselves with these
herbs and cultivate more intimate relationships with them in order to know
when we need this herbal alliance, and how much of it we need. Our own
intuition can inform us of the correct dose in this case.
If you could only use one herb for the rest of your life what would it be
and why?
Jiaogulan – (for me) even more balancing than Schizandra.
Nice video, I am just starting to feel the benefits of Schizandra,
Gynostemma and Siberian Ginseng your info helps a lot thanks … peace
A Chinese friend gave me a bag of Schizandra berries today. I’ve had
troubles with anxiety, mild depression and possibly gall bladder trouble.
How should these berries be taken? Can they be dropped directly into a cup
of boiling water? I’d also like to know how they should be stored. The
berries given to me are in a re-sealble plastic bag. Your advice on how to
prepare the berries for consumption and how to store them would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
You can boil a pan of water on the stove and add a handful of the berries 5
minutes or so before taking it off the heat. Strain and serve immediately.
If necessary you can sweeten the berries a little with a natural sweetener
– raw honey, maple syrup, birch-derived xylitol etc. There is no need to
re-cook them, so whatever you don’t drink just strain off the remaining
berries and store the liquid in an airtight container in the fridge and use
within 36-48 hours. It can be warmed if necessary but is also good to use
cold. For storage of the dried berries they must be kept in an airtight
container, preferably containing a desiccant bag or something to absorb any
moisture.
Hello friend, i use those herbs too with geat benefits but i read recently
somewhere on the net that jiaogulan and siberian ginseng should not be used
together as it could promote excessive bleeding..if anyone else has info on
this be glad to let me know..all in all jiaogulan when using a good
standardized extract of jiaogulan(i combine mine with rhodiola, schizandra
and hawaian spirulina) you won’t even fell the need for siberian
ginseng..peace
Thanks a lot for your info .. I will make sure and use them seperatly from
now on, wasnt aware of that…. Cheers and good health to you ..

I love all these tonic superfoods. Wish I knew of them 10-15 years ago, but
the past 5 year is good enough.
Can you combine Gynostemma, shizandra and nigella sativa together? Thanks
mate
i just bought 50 grams of schizandra berry extract. I’ve ordered reishi,
nutmeg supplement, and soursop for some people I know with cancer. I think
it would be awesome for you to make a video on apricot kernels and their
amazing effect on cancer, its not well known.
Oh my god. Are you single?
What are the most dominant of the 5 flavours and by how much do they stand
out?
+MrGoblin60 You can try growing them, they are quite cold tolerant as well.

Thank you for that wonderful Video.
This stuff is great. I use the supplement form to activate my brain and
keep me focused throughout the day. I use it in place of coffee and it has
worked phenomenally for me. It also improves sexual endurance which is an
odd but interesting aspect of taking this supplement…..
+Nyishar do you think they need to be pre soaked to get rid of tannins? one
source says to do this.
He’s not but l am…single and ready to mingle?
